For 'Murphy' with love from
Tricia and Dave
We Only Wanted You
They say memories are golden
well maybe that is true.
We never wanted memories,
We only wanted you.
A million times we needed you,
a million times we cried.
If love alone could have saved you
you never would have died.
In life we loved you dearly,
In death we love you still.
In our hearts you hold a place
no one could ever fill.
If tears could build a stairway
and heartache make a lane,
We'd walk the path to heaven
and bring you back again.
Our family chain is broken,
and nothing seems the same.
But as God calls us one by one,
the chain will link again.

For Chyna from Vonnie with love
God looked around his garden
And found an empty place,
He then looked down upon the earth
And saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you
And lifted you to rest.
God's garden must be beautiful
He always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering
He knew you were in pain.
He knew that you would never
Get well on earth again.
He saw the road was getting rough
And the hills were hard to climb.
So he closed your weary eyelids
And whispered, 'Peace be Thine'.
It broke our hearts to lose you
But you didn't go alone,
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home

For 'Tilly' with love from
Elizabeth
On a gentle breeze came the sound
of tiny tinkling silver bells.
They all knew who was coming, full of excitement they ran, through soft,
white, fluffy clouds to welcome her. Young and old, big and small, heads
held high, their silken coats shimmering in the soft glorious light......
Free from suffering and pain, the burden of old age long gone, they were
strong and proud again.......
Very soon they reached their destination, a bridge that they had all once
crossed. Patiently they waited as the tinkle of the tiny bells grew louder
filling the air. Suddenly their wait was over , and there she was, their
beautiful new friend Tilly, running towards them, tail wagging, crossing
over the bridge from this life to the next, to join them, in this wondrous,
magical place, on the other side of the rainbow.

I Loved You Best
So this is where we part, my Friend,
and you’ll run on, around the bend.
Gone from sight, but not from mind,
new pleasures there you’ll surely find.
I will go on, I’ll find the strength,
life measures quality, not length.
One long embrace before you leave,
share one last look, before I grieve.
There are others, that much is true,
but they be they, and they aren’t you.
And I, fair, impartial, or so I thought,
Will remember well all you’ve taught.
Your place I’ll hold, you will be missed,
the fur I stroked, the nose I kissed.
And as you journey to your final rest,
take this with you…I loved you best.

For Tilly - Thank you Sylvia - I
think the words apply to all the owners of these loved ones.
Days
Thank you for the days,
Those endless days, those sacred days you gave me.
I’m thinking of the days,
I wont forget a single day, believe me.
I bless the light,
I bless the light that lights on you believe me.
And though you’re gone,
You’re with me every single day, believe me.
Days I’ll remember all my life,
Days when you cant see wrong from right.
You took my life,
But then I knew that very soon you’d leave me,
But its all right,
Now I’m not frightened of this world, believe me.
I wish today could be tomorrow,
The night is dark,
It just brings sorrow anyway.
Thank you for the days,
Those endless days, those sacred days you gave me.
I’m thinking of the days,
I wont forget a single day, believe me.
Days I’ll remember all my life,
Days when you cant see wrong from right.
You took my life,
But then I knew that very soon you’d leave me,
But its all right,
Now I’m not frightened of this world, believe me.
Thank you for the days,
Those endless days, those sacred days you gave me.
I’m thinking of the days,
I wont forget a single day, believe me.
I bless the light,
I bless the light that shines on you believe me.
And though you’re gone,
You’re with me every single day, believe me.
