Judges report for Greenock & District Kennel Ass Open Show

 

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr Jim Richardson and the committee for inviting me to judge here it was a lovely show with a lovely atmosphere and I was made to feel very welcome.

 Afghan Junior (4, 3 abs)

1 Afterglow Jamimah at Barjoni Young 16 month old Black & Silver Girl  Beautiful head with a punishing under jaw, Chiselling and dark eye, well set ears and nice neck length in to well laid shoulders, good big feet, good spring of rib and short strong loin well defined pin bones and croup and tail, good length from Hip to hock. Beautiful coat condition and preparation. Moved with a ground covering stride full of lift and spring, a promising baby, I will look out for her in the future.

 Afghan Post Graduate (2)

1 Javidan Dirty Little Secret Lovely upstanding Black/ Brindle Male afghan with a true arrogant look through you look an Afghan should have , he is only a young dog with more to come, He has a beautiful head with a dark eye, good under jaw and wonderful chiselling, good bite, well set ears lovely length of neck in to good shoulders nice and short coupled boy with a good spring of rib, depth of chest and short strong loin, in lovely condition well presented coat, nice defined pin bones and croup well set on tail, nice sweeping quarters, good hocks. Moved with a good ground covering stride.

 2 Javidan I Am Beautiful Black Brindle & Silver Girl. I see she is the litter sister to my winner and she pushed her brother hard, it really came down to performance on the day for my decision. They could swap at anytime for me. She has a lovely feminine head with a dark eye, good under jaw, good bite lovely chiselling, well placed ears, into a good length of neck, good lay of shoulders, good chest depth, spring of rib, short strong loin, nice definition of pin bones, croup and tail set and length of tail, good length from hip to hock and good hind angulations too, in lovely condition well presented. She moved with style, elegance, lift and spring. A lovely balanced girl who I hope continues to flourish.

 Afghan Open. (4, 2 abs)

1 Jahadi Enya at Zubedar Black & silver Girl ultra feminine lovely, foreface with chiselling, punishing under jaw, nice dark eye, good bite, well placed ears, good length of neck into lovely shoulders, depth of chest, spring of rib, short strong loin well defined pin bones and croup, good tail and set, nice sweep to her hindquarters, well presented, moved with style and beautiful spring and lift. A lovely balanced feminine girl with a true Afghan elegance I was pleased to award her BOB and was thrilled she was awarded Group 4 in a strong Hound group

2 Javidan Keep the Faith Gold Brindle Girl again litter sister to the first & second in Post Grad again she has all their lovely attributes, taller bigger girl all through than my winner but eye catching. Her head is lovely with a dark eye, punishing under jaw, good chiselling, good bite, lean back skull, well placed ears, with a good length of neck into good shoulders, depth of chest, spring of rib, a little bit longer in loin than my winner but she is a bigger bitch and has balance well defined pin bones, croup and tail set with nice tail. Good quarters with good length from hip to hock, she moves beautifully with a ground covering stride. It really came down to again her overall performance on the day for my decision these two will swap places often both quality girls. Keep working with her she is a lovely girl from a lovely litter Well Done.
