Critiques

I have looked forward to this day when I could get my hands on some of my lovely breed the Afghan Hound and hopefully work out
why dogs I have seen ringside miss out on top honours.
I would like to thank  my Steward  for making my first judging appointment so easy and also Mrs Parks (Hon Secretary) for her lovely hospitality.
A good sized ring and friendly atmosphere from all exhibitors made my day, thank you.

Junior - (1, 2a )  1 Turner & Huttons, Gezencol's Gi Gi.  Feminine  b/m gold bitch of 17 months, fine head of the right proportions, dark eye. Would have preferred  more longer reach in neck. Well laid shoulders, front legs well tucked under with deep brisket and strong moderate rear angulated quarters, finishing off with a ringed tail. Moved out well when settled.

PG - ( 7, 4a)  1 Kirwans, Edris El Shariat At Padaki (Imp). Lovely upstanding red dog with balanced head and that look through Afghan expression  Heavy beard to good under jaw with  correct bite, eyes  a little on the light side. Long neck leading into well laid shoulders, good ribbing, short level topline held on move. Strong loin, long sweeping stifle and good angulation. Strong hocks, correct fall away and tail carriage and ring. Moved sound and true. RBOB.

2nd - Farquhar's, Birkhall Secret Agent. 3 year old b/m gold dog, good head and dark eye, long neck with sloping shoulders, well angulated rear, just lost topline on the move, preferred movement of 1.

3rd - Moorey's,  Gezencol Whoopsie Daisy.

Open - (4,1a)  1 Farquhars, Sukeshi Starlet. I loved the look of this nearly 6yr old b/m gold  bitch from the tip of her nose to the ring of her lightly feathered ringed tail. As she stepped into the ring, her balance, length of neck, shoulder placement, level topline, fallaway, ring tail, bend of stifle and upright hocks pleased my eye so much, and on the move. Just out moved 1st in post grad but not by much. BOB.

2nd - Aldous's, Ifmaraf Go in Pinstripes,  Sorry no write up on this exhibit, as they left the ring.

3rd - Moorey's,  Nagazumi Neretto.
